A New School Prayer

The following poem tears my heart out. Please feel free to copy this poem, email it, or post it to your own website. The more who read it the better.

BUT it is heartening to know that Americans are beginning to take a FIRM stand against the movement to RE-MOVE God from our society. May God continue to make their voices heard, loud and clear! Let FREEDOM reign!

Sometimes it takes a child to point out the source of what is wrong with our country. Since the Pledge of Allegiance and The Lord's Prayer are not allowed in most public schools anymore because the word "God" is mentioned, a kid in Arizona wrote the attached NEW School Prayer. Please pray for our children.

A New School Prayer
-- Author Unknown

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!

Amen

Highlights from NewsMax.com

Family Vote Wins It

Yesterday the American people voted decisively to re-elect President Bush.

It was suppose to be among the closest races in our history.

But the pundits and pollsters were wrong. The exit polls were really wrong.

So, what happened?

On the face of it, the media elites did not factor in the strong Christian vote.

For all the hoopla we have been hearing from the media about new voters, cell phone voters and young voters, the evidence suggests they never materialized.

Yet conservative Christians turned out in droves. They turned out because they are worried about the cultural re-engineering in America. They like Bush. They didn't trust John Kerry.

Last night, MSNBC reported that 21 percent of Americans said "moral issues" were the biggest factor in their decision - more than those who said the economy or the war on terror. How come we never saw this discussed in any polls before Election Day?

Clearly the media weren't including the Christian vote because it didn't fit their agenda.

Here's my take on 2004 on some key points:

Vietnam and the POWs Were Critical

How the Democratic Party thought it could elect the most liberal senator in the country - from Massachusetts, no less - to the White House boggles the mind.

How arrogant it must be to think we would elect this man who, along with Jane Fonda, was one of the leaders of the pro-Viet Cong anti-war movement.

This arrogance was compounded by the fact that the media tried to portray Kerry as a war hero.

But this all failed when former POWs last summer had the guts to stand up and accuse Kerry of betraying them and the country.

When a single TV commercial aired making these claims, Kerry's lead in the polls evaporated, and he never regained it.

'Stolen Honor' Steals the Show

When Kerry and his allies threatened to take Sinclair Broadcast Group's FCC licenses if the network aired the documentary "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal," they were telegraphing to the world how much they feared the American people might see it.

This documentary by the courageous award-winning journalist Carlton Sherwood was not political propaganda as its detractors said. It was a factual account of what Kerry did during his anti-war days - and how that behavior affected American POWs and the war.

Though under incredible pressure from every angle, from everything the Kerry campaign could throw at it, Sinclair did air a few minutes of the 43-minute documentary as part of a program. But the American public was deprived of most of the information in the documentary.

At that point NewsMax stepped into the breach. We decided that the public's right to know overrode the intimidation tactics of the P.C. thought police.

In the end, NewsMax decided to air "Stolen Honor." Last weekend, we aired the documentary several dozen times across the nation, including 10 showings on PAX-TV alone. PAX reaches almost 100 million American homes. We estimate that more than 5 million Americans saw "Stolen Honor."

Kudos to Giuliani, McCain, Pataki

Though I don't always agree with Rudy Giuliani and John McCain, I must commend them for their staunch efforts on behalf of President Bush.

They worked tirelessly on behalf of the president's re-election, and they deserve tremendous praise.

Also, Gov. George Pataki helped make New York's GOP convention a stunning success. It was a defining moment in the campaign, and Pataki played a key role. Like Giuliani and McCain, he worked in overdrive for Bush, and no doubt he will be a contender in 2008.

Ed Koch Can't Be Underestimated

In the days before the election, Ed Koch wrote on NewsMax: "On November 3, when President George W. Bush awakens to read the final election results, I believe he may say to himself: ‘Thanks to the Jewish community, I won. They will never have cause to regret their confidence in me.'"

This has turned out to be true. I would add only that the president also should say to himself, "Thank you, Ed Koch, for making it happen."

As we all know, Koch is the former mayor of New York City (some say he never really left office) and one of the nation's most prominent Democrats. He is also a proud Jewish American.

Way back in 2003 Koch came out strongly to endorse President Bush. His support never wavered.

In South Florida, where Jews constitute a significant part of the population, Koch made numerous appearances endorsing Bush. And he and Giuliani teamed up to do a radio ad that endorsed Bush.

It worked. Most Jews still voted for Kerry, but in lower numbers than they did in 2000. I believe that shift contributed to Bush's significant victory in Florida this time.

Schwarzenegger Disappointing

No doubt Arnold Schwarzenegger's appearance in Columbus, Ohio, during the closing days of the campaign helped Bush. But I doubt it gave him his margin of victory there.

NewsMax has been reporting for months that Schwarzenegger was trying to distance himself from the president.

Compared to Rudy, McCain and Pataki, the Terminator was MIA.

Arnold could have used his star power in many ways for the president, with a few more visits to Ohio and Pennsylvania and perhaps a TV ad endorsing him.

But like most celebrities, he has an inflated sense of his own importance.

Republicans need to remember this election when there's talk of changing the 22nd Amendment.

$2 Billion Media War

NewsMax Magazine hit the nail on the head with our June cover story, "The Media War on Bush."

We estimated that the major liberal media would give Kerry favorable news coverage and commentary worth an estimated $2 billion.

When one considers how the media are still working overtime for Kerry - with networks such as ABC, CBS and CNN still not having called the election for Bush - we may have to revise that figure upward.

My friend Alfonso Landa, whose noted father was an FDR insider, told me this week that he was amazed how well Bush had been doing despite the constant drubbing he had received from the media for several years now.

I believe the American people voted not only to reject Kerry on Tuesday, they also voted to reject the media elites.

The media, which had invested so much in the hate politics of Michael Moore and the outright bias exemplified by Dan Rather and CBS, received the public's verdict yesterday.

Dick Morris Hits the Bull's-Eye

As many pundits and pollsters claimed that the election was just too close to call, for weeks now Dick Morris was the only one putting his reputation on the line predicting a victory by Bush.

As election polls were closing after 7 p.m., Dick and I discussed the exit polls, which were depressing, to say the least. They showed a blowout victory for Kerry, winning every swing state with the possible exception of West Virginia.

As it turned out, they were all wrong. But Dick Morris was the first to pick up on it, as we chronicled last night exclusively for NewsMax readers.

Shortly after results started coming in from Indiana and Kentucky, I received an urgent call from Dick. "Something's wrong with the exit polls," he said.

"Bush is doing much better than he did in 2000."

Morris said if the trend continued, the exit polls would be way off.

As more states flowed in, the trend continued to hold up. Morris noted that Bush was even doing 6 points better in Kerry's Massachusetts than he did in 2000.

At about 11 p.m., when Pennsylvania results showed Bush losing, but not so badly, Morris called me to say: "Bush will carry Ohio. He will win. We can go with it."

NewsMax was the first to break the news, thanks to Dick Morris.

I believe Dick is the best political strategist of our time. He is also good with the numbers, as last night demonstrated to me.

Hillary in 2008

The dust has not even settled on this election, and the buzz is Sen. Hillary Clinton's 2008 run.

There's little question she'll make a bid for the White House in four years.

All I can say is that Hillary is no Kerry.

Hold The Phones!

Litterally!

In Florida, democrats are calling our seasoned voters telling them that they don't need to go to the polls because - now get this folks - Their Voter Registration is INVALID and won't count!

This is blatant suppression of the vote. Yet, as I said in an earlier article, the Democrats are accusing the Republicans of doing what they themselves are guilty of! It's called shifting the blame!

If you're the first to shout and if you shout loud and long enough, it will take the spotlight off of your own shinnannigans!!!

The Democrats are up to shinnannigans and blaming the Republicans for it! This is a repeat of the 2000 Bush - Gore election, only then there wasn't the pre-election day election to bring out all of the dirty dealilngs that really went on behind the polls.

Go to the polls anyway! If you're told you're not registered, fill out a provisional ballot. Someone will determine if your vote is legitimate. Don't allow yourselves to be disenfranchised. I'm sure similar deceptions are taking place all over this nation.

Unfortunately, our military don't have that option. If their votes are not date-stamped by tomorrow, their votes will be discounted. This is another example of voter suppression on behalf of the Democratic Party.

At least 67% of the military overseas support Bush! That's at least 80,000 votes for Bush! Do you realize just what a landslide in favor of Bush this election would be if - IF - our military can get their voices heard?

The Democrats are doing everything in their power to stop that voice. It's shameful and the Democratic Party should be held accountable, dismantled, and tried for treason in my opinion. If anyone has a right to vote, it's our Military!!!!

In all good conscience, if you're a democrat, how can you vote for a party who claims to be for the people, but does everything in its' power to suppress them?

My Thoughts

Well, I am very optimistic. I trust the American people to do the right thing by voting President Bush back into office.

He's a man who loves his country and will do all in his power to protect it. He would never sell us out to France or Germany to gain favor in Europe, like some people would, and he has never held covert meetings with known communist leaders/parties.

Why do you think there is such a negative image of America in Europe? This attitude didn't start when George W. Bush took office. I can remember back in '96-7 being told that if I were to journey to Europe, make it well known that I was NOT from the U.S. If it was known, I could place myself or my family in jeopardy.

Why is that?

This is just my opinion and could be wrong, but I think it holds water.

Since the media has such a wide viewing audience, Americas' dirty linen is aired on a regular basis, worldwide! Vietnam was the beginning of America's fall in the eyes of our European friends.

"A country at war with itself will fall." The media doesn't broadcast the positive side of an issue, only the negative. That's all Europe has heard for the past 40 years. How much coverage did you see or hear about the victory in Afghanistan? These people, with the unswerving assistance of our soldiers, have turned a page in history. They held their first democratic election ever! This is monumental, but you won't hear much about it because it doesn't fit with the media agenda.

Some past and present headlines:

"Vietnam war is Quagmire"
"U.S. Soldiers Brutalize Vietnamese Civilians"
"U.S. Soldiers Rape and Burn"
"U.S. Immoral War in Vietnam"
"U.S. Soldiers Mutilate Babies"

and on and on. I know these were the headlines because I'm a Canadian and not once did I see anything positive about Americans or their war effort in Vietnam. All of this negativism was geared to incite hate both abroad and at home.

Right on the heels of the Vietnam scandall was Watergate. Not only was it broadcast that the military was corrupt only a few years earlier, but the highest office of the land was also corrupt.

President Nixon was literally tried and convicted by the media and the Democratic Party before it even hit the courts. Every accusing, negative statement was broadcast throughout the world.

Again, America's international credibility and image are smudged.

Next was the mockery the Democratic Party tried to make of Ronald Reagan. And they were true to form - merciless! Again, their sarcastic, negative remarks were the focus of the media and throughout the world.

One Major Difference was that Ronald Reagan was not deterred from his mission - defeating a communist regime.

Then, when things were just beginning to simmer down, along comes President William Jefferson Clinton who proceeds to get a blow-job in the Oval office.

You can itterate that what he does in the privacy of his own office is not our concern. Wrong. What he does with his own time in his own home is not our concern. What he does while upholding the position of the highest office in the world, is. What this man did was broadcast throughout the world. He made a mockery and laughing-stock of the Oval Office. He dimished the power that office holds.

Now we come to Iraq. Once again, the Democratic Party is screaming at the top of their lungs that this is a "quagmire". President Bush failed this and President Bush failed that; President Bush lied. This is the rhetoric that is resounding throughout the middle east. And I know democrats don't like to hear this, but it is emboldening the terrorist effort and making our military's job in Iraq that much more difficult.

The Democrats with the aid of the liberal news media is once again attempting to destroy the American image, not only here at home but worldwide.

The image of the U.S. was already tenuous at best. The news media are responsible for the American image throughout the world, not George W. Bush or his cabinet and not the Vietnam Veteran. They have all proven themselves to be good and honorable people who have our nation's best interests as their driving force.

John Kerry on the other hand....

We Get Another Chance!

I received this from NewsMax.com earlier today! You may have heard that the film "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never heal" was not aired last weekend because the Democratic Party stopped it.

Well, guess what..... Get ready for History 101!

Breaking News from NewsMax.com

NewsMax to Air 'Stolen Honor'

Dear NewsMax Readers:

Despite obnoxious attempts by the Kerry campaign to stop the airing of Carlton Sherwood's documentary, "Stolen Honor: Wounds that Never Heal," we are pleased to announce that it will begin airing this weekend on many stations across the country.

NewsMax will be airing the program as part of its news programming, offering the American people the accounts of  American heroes - our former POWs - and how John Kerry's activities hurt them, their families, and the country.

The efforts to censor this documentary may rank as one of the most shocking episodes of this historic presidential campaign.

Because of the Gestapo tactics that have been employed to shut down broadcasters, stations and theaters that have sought to air "Stolen Honor," NewsMax will not be releasing the air times of the program.

We can assure our readers that this program will air many times and be broadcast into millions of homes.

NewsMax is committed to the public's right to know on matters of public policy.

We again thank the many NewsMax readers who have helped sponsor our programming. If you have not yet joined us, you can by
Going Here and getting a copy of "Stolen Honor."

Thank you.

P.S.: As we write this we are still buying air time across the United States. Your help counts!

A Matter of Record

It's crunch time. Tuesday, or shortly thereafter, President Bush will be re-elected, only this time it will be a clear and decisive victory.

So, I'm just going to throw a bit of history your way!

Oh, if your ballot has something "hanging"? Do us all a favor? Rip the sucker off! Thanks. We'll all be forever greatful.

From the September 30, 2004 Bush - Kerry Presidential Debate:

John Kerry: "We need to rebuild our alliances. I believe that Ronald Reagan, John Kennedy, others did that more effectively and I'm going to try to follow in their footsteps."

In 1988 John Kerry characterized Ronald Reagan's Presidency as an era of "moral darkness".

John Kerry's Record in the Senate:
Opposed Ronald Reagan's plan to destroy the "Evil Empire"
    Opposed America's defense build-up
    Opposed "Star Wars" missle defense
Opposed "freedom fighters" in Central America
Led the Nuclear Freeze Initiative within the United States

(John Kerry, just like in the 70's, IS against our military. On this issue, he has NOT flip-flopped.)

John Kerry recommended cancelling:
    The f-14A, the F-14D, the F-15
The MX Missile, the Patriot Air Defense Missile, the Trident Nuclear Submarine

The B-1 Bomber, the B-2 Stealth Bomber

In the words of Ronald Reagan during the 1984 Reagan - Mondale Debate, "He has a record of weakness with regard to our national defense that is second to none, indeed he was on that side, virtually throughout all his years in the senate."

The following is from Americans for Peace Through Strength:

During the 1980s, President Ronald Reagan provided the leadership to ensure that America’s military was second to none. His investments in national defense brought the Soviet Union to its knees and made America and the world a safer place.

Today, our nation faces a threat from terrorist organizations and rogue nations hoping to obtain weapons of mass destruction that rivals the challenge presented by Soviet aggression during the Cold War.

To win the war on terrorism, we must have strong leadership in the White House that shares President Reagan’s commitment to a strong national defense. During his 20 years in Washington, Massachusetts Senator John Kerry has compiled a shockingly liberal voting record on critical national security issues. With so much at stake, can we afford to trust our national defense and foreign policy to a liberal Senator who has spent his entire career working to weaken our military?

Go to "Kerry's Liberal Record On Defense" for more on his very liberal voting record.

John Kerry was Wrong about America then, and he's wrong FOR America now!

The Truth -- Like a Beacon of Light -- Will Shine Through Mr. Kerry!

President ridicules foe's 'wild charges'

By Bill Sammon
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

LITITZ, Pa. — President Bush yesterday: "The senator is making wild charges about missing explosives when his top foreign-policy adviser admits, quote, 'We do not know the facts,' " he said at a rally aimed at enlisting Democratic support, with Sen. Zell Miller of Georgia at his side.
    "Think about that:
The senator is denigrating the actions of our troops and commanders in the field without knowing the facts."

___________________________________

(My Note: It sounds to me like Sen. Kerry is once again showing just how narrow minded and signle focused he really is. The Presidency is ALL he cares about and is willing to sacrifice our young men and women to achieve that goal. We will NOT allow Mr. Kerry and the Democratic Party to blind us to the truth again. President Bush has opened our eyes, brought us back to reality after 8 years of fantacy under Bill Clinton. Thank YOU George W. Bush!)

The following is from ABC News:

Discrepancy Found in Explosives Amounts
Documents Show Iraqis May Be Overstating Amount of Missing Material

Oct. 27, 2004 — Iraqi officials may be overstating the amount of explosives reported to have disappeared from a weapons depot, documents obtained by ABC News show.

The Iraqi interim government has told the United States and international weapons inspectors that 377 tons of conventional explosives are missing from the Al-Qaqaa installation, which was supposed to be under U.S. military control.

But International Atomic Energy Agency documents obtained by ABC News and first reported on "World News Tonight with Peter Jennings" indicate the amount of missing explosives may be substantially less than the Iraqis reported.

The information on which the Iraqi Science Ministry based an Oct. 10 memo in which it reported that 377 tons of RDX explosives were missing — presumably stolen due to a lack of security — was based on "declaration" from July 15, 2002. At that time, the Iraqis said there were 141 tons of RDX explosives at the facility.

But the confidential IAEA documents obtained by ABC News show that on Jan. 14, 2003, the agency's inspectors recorded that just over 3 tons of RDX was stored at the facility — a considerable discrepancy from what the Iraqis reported.

The IAEA documents could mean that 138 tons of explosives were removed from the facility long before the start of the United States launched "Operation Iraqi Freedom" in March 2003.

The missing explosives have become an issue in the presidential campaign. Sen. John Kerry has pointed to the disappearance as evidence of the Bush administration's poor handling of the war. The Bush camp has responded that more than a thousand times that amount of explosives or munitions have been recovered or destroyed in Iraq.

Another Concern

The IAEA documents from January 2003 found no discrepancy in the amount of the more dangerous HMX explosives thought to be stored at Al-Qaqaa, but they do raise another disturbing possibility.

The documents show IAEA inspectors looked at nine bunkers containing more than 194 tons of HMX at the facility. Although these bunkers were still under IAEA seal, the inspectors said the seals may be potentially ineffective because they had ventilation slats on the sides. These slats could be easily removed to remove the materials inside the bunkers without breaking the seals, the inspectors noted.

ABC News' Martha Raddatz filed this report for "World News Tonight." Luis Martinez contributed to this report.

Russia tied to Iraq's missing arms

By Bill Gertz
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

Russian special forces troops moved many of Saddam Hussein's weapons and related goods out of Iraq and into Syria in the weeks before the March 2003 U.S. military operation, The Washington Times has learned.
John A. Shaw, the deputy undersecretary of defense for international technology security, said in an interview that he believes the Russian troops, working with Iraqi intelligence, "almost certainly" removed the high-explosive material that went missing from the Al-Qaqaa facility, south of Baghdad.
"The Russians brought in, just before the war got started, a whole series of military units," Mr. Shaw said. "Their main job was to shred all evidence of any of the contractual arrangements they had with the Iraqis. The others were transportation units."
Mr. Shaw, who was in charge of cataloging the tons of conventional arms provided to Iraq by foreign suppliers, said he recently obtained reliable information on the arms-dispersal program from two European intelligence services that have detailed knowledge of the Russian-Iraqi weapons collaboration.
Most of Saddam's most powerful arms were systematically separated from other arms like mortars, bombs and rockets, and sent to Syria and Lebanon, and possibly to Iran, he said.
The Russian involvement in helping disperse Saddam's weapons, including some 380 tons of RDX and HMX, is still being investigated, Mr. Shaw said.
The RDX and HMX, which are used to manufacture high-explosive and nuclear weapons, are probably of Russian origin, he said.
Pentagon spokesman Larry DiRita could not be reached for comment.
The disappearance of the material was reported in a letter Oct. 10 from the Iraqi government to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Disclosure of the missing explosives Monday in a New York Times story was used by the Democratic presidential campaign of Sen. John Kerry, who accused the Bush administration of failing to secure the material.
Al-Qaqaa, a known Iraqi weapons site, was monitored closely, Mr. Shaw said.
"That was such a pivotal location, Number 1, that the mere fact of [special explosives] disappearing was impossible," Mr. Shaw said. "And Number 2, if the stuff disappeared, it had to have gone before we got there."
The Pentagon disclosed yesterday that the Al-Qaqaa facility was defended by Fedayeen Saddam, Special Republican Guard and other Iraqi military units during the conflict. U.S. forces defeated the defenders around April 3 and found the gates to the facility open, the Pentagon said in a statement yesterday.
A military unit in charge of searching for weapons, the Army's 75th Exploitation Task Force, then inspected Al-Qaqaa on May 8, May 11 and May 27, 2003, and found no high explosives that had been monitored in the past by the IAEA.
The Pentagon said there was no evidence of large-scale movement of explosives from the facility after April 6.
"The movement of 377 tons of heavy ordnance would have required dozens of heavy trucks and equipment moving along the same roadways as U.S. combat divisions occupied continually for weeks prior to and subsequent to the 3rd Infantry Division's arrival at the facility," the statement said.
The statement also said that the material may have been removed from the site by Saddam's regime.
According to the Pentagon, U.N. arms inspectors sealed the explosives at Al-Qaqaa in January 2003 and revisited the site in March and noted that the seals were not broken.
It is not known whether the inspectors saw the explosives in March. The U.N. team left the country before the U.S.-led invasion began March 20, 2003.
A second defense official said documents on the Russian support to Iraq reveal that Saddam's government paid the Kremlin for the special forces to provide security for Iraq's Russian arms and to conduct counterintelligence activities designed to prevent U.S. and Western intelligence services from learning about the arms pipeline through Syria.
The Russian arms-removal program was initiated after Yevgeny Primakov, the former Russian intelligence chief, could not persuade Saddam to give in to U.S. and Western demands, this official said.
A small portion of Iraq's 650,000 tons to 1 million tons of conventional arms that were found after the war were looted after the U.S.-led invasion, Mr. Shaw said. Russia was Iraq's largest foreign supplier of weaponry, he said.
However, the most important and useful arms and explosives appear to have been separated and moved out as part of carefully designed program. "The organized effort was done in advance of the conflict," Mr. Shaw said.
The Russian forces were tasked with moving special arms out of the country.
Mr. Shaw said foreign intelligence officials believe the Russians worked with Saddam's Mukhabarat intelligence service to separate out special weapons, including high explosives and other arms and related technology, from standard conventional arms spread out in some 200 arms depots.
The Russian weapons were then sent out of the country to Syria, and possibly Lebanon in Russian trucks, Mr. Shaw said.
Mr. Shaw said he believes that the withdrawal of Russian-made weapons and explosives from Iraq was part of plan by Saddam to set up a "redoubt" in Syria that could be used as a base for launching pro-Saddam insurgency operations in Iraq.
The Russian units were dispatched beginning in January 2003 and by March had destroyed hundreds of pages of documents on Russian arms supplies to Iraq while dispersing arms to Syria, the second official said.
Besides their own weapons, the Russians were supplying Saddam with arms made in Ukraine, Belarus, Bulgaria and other Eastern European nations, he said.
"Whatever was not buried was put on lorries and sent to the Syrian border," the defense official said.
Documents reviewed by the official included itineraries of military units involved in the truck shipments to Syria. The materials outlined in the documents included missile components, MiG jet parts, tank parts and chemicals used to make chemical weapons, the official said.
The director of the Iraqi government front company known as the Al Bashair Trading Co. fled to Syria, where he is in charge of monitoring arms holdings and funding Iraqi insurgent activities, the official said.
Also, an Arabic-language report obtained by U.S. intelligence disclosed the extent of Russian armaments. The 26-page report was written by Abdul Tawab Mullah al Huwaysh, Saddam's minister of military industrialization, who was captured by U.S. forces May 2, 2003.
The Russian "spetsnaz" or special-operations forces were under the GRU military intelligence service and organized large commercial truck convoys for the weapons removal, the official said.
Regarding the explosives, the new Iraqi government reported that 194.7 metric tons of HMX, or high-melting-point explosive, and 141.2 metric tons of RDX, or rapid-detonation explosive, and 5.8 metric tons of PETN, or pentaerythritol tetranitrate, were missing.
The material is used in nuclear weapons and also in making military "plastic" high explosive.
Defense officials said the Russians can provide information on what happened to the Iraqi weapons and explosives that were transported out of the country. Officials believe the Russians also can explain what happened to Iraq's weapons of mass destruction programs.

9/11 Families

Three years ago, on the day that began as a beautiful September morning, 19 men and their sponsors carried out a brutal and devastating attack on our country, leaving 3,000 innocent men, women and children dead, including our loved ones.  In those first agonizing hours, and for weeks and months afterward as we searched for word of their fate, we were aware that the shock and horror of that day was not ours alone.  With a gratitude we could not yet express, we felt the strong and steady embrace of our fellow Americans.  The words, “Never forget,” defiantly written in dust or humbly penned on makeshift memorials, were also permanently etched in our hearts.  We will never forget your strength, your courage and your endless generosity.

We speak to you now in the same spirit that you spoke to us then, as Americans, united on behalf of our country.  Like many of you, we feel that our nation is poised at a critical moment in history.  Like our parents and grandparents before us, we know that the choices we make today will affect our children tomorrow.  But we face a new challenge, a new kind of war and an enemy who is different from the enemies faced by earlier generations.  This is not an adversary who can be reasoned with or appeased, this is an adversary who has repeatedly demonstrated that its means and ends are one and the same: the wanton slaughter of innocents.

After the attack, President Bush articulated the primary lesson of September 11, that simply reacting to danger after lives are lost is a weak and unacceptable national defense.  He believes that taking the fight to the enemy is the best way to ensure that the enemy will not bring death to our doorstep here at home.

We agree.

Under the President‘s strong leadership in the war on terror and through the heroic efforts of our military forces, we are a safer country today. Two-thirds of al Qaeda leadership is dead, incarcerated, or on the run, its financing disrupted.  The Taliban has been removed from power and training camps in Afghanistan and Iraq have been eliminated.  On the domestic front, our dedicated law enforcement agencies are finally able to fight terror the same way they go after drug cartels; terrorists and terrorist cells have been thwarted in upstate New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Illinois and Florida.

The 9/11 Commission has provided this nation with a solid blueprint for going forward in the war on terror.  It described the threat that killed our loved ones as a “gathering storm” which went unrecognized and unchecked for too many years and characterized the inability to predict the attack itself as a “failure of imagination.”  Looking forward, the Commission offered this pointed warning, “Once the danger has fully materialized, evident to all, mobilizing action is easier--but it then may be too late.”

Through the prism of 9/11 and presaging the Commission’s conclusion, President Bush looked at Iraq and Saddam Hussein’s history, his willingness to use chemical weapons in the mass murder of his own citizens, his notorious attempts to acquire nuclear weapons, his record of giving financial aid and sanctuary to global terrorists--including members of al Qaeda--and his repeated refusal to cooperate with U.N. inspectors.  He determined that this repressive regime was an intolerable danger to our country.  Rather than waiting until it was too late to prevent a fully materialized threat, the President acted.  We believe history will support the President’s decision.

We speak to you from the heart, as citizens from all across the country and every political stripe.  We are Republicans and Democrats, “liberals” and “conservatives,” young and old.  We are mothers and fathers, husbands and wives, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters and friends.  We speak out from a profound sense of obligation to those we have lost and to the country that we love.  Guided by core principles, President Bush has steadfastly told us who he is, what he believes and what he will fight for.  He is a caring and decisive leader who is not afraid to make hard choices to keep this nation safe, by keeping it strong.  He has sent a clear message to America’s friends and foes that he will not waver in his resolve as the winds of political fortune change.  He will not revert to the failed policies of the past which only served to whet the appetite of those who would destroy us.  He will stand firm against our adversaries.

As Americans who have keenly felt the scourge of terrorism, we are inspired and energized to follow the President’s lead, to rise to the occasion and get the job done.  We are deeply grateful to President Bush, who rallied this nation on that dark September day, who has earned our respect and confidence, and whose leadership we trust to steer this country on the right path.

Three years ago, George W. Bush stood with us and vowed that he would “Never forget.”

We stand with him now.

Kristol: N.Y. Times and CBS 'Conspiring' With Kerry to Defeat Bush

I can't tell you how refreshing it was to listen to Bill Kristol this morning on Fox and Friends telling it like it REALLY is! It's about time somebody told it like it is!

Kristol hammered the pro-Democrat New York Times and pro-Democrat CBS for "colluding" and "conspiring" with Sen. John Kerry to discredit and demonize President Bush.

Even Kerry's own henchmen are now admitting they have no proof to back up the issue the Democrats concocted with their media allies.

The following is a snippit from NewsMax.com. Well worth reading.

Kristol notes in his new column for Weekly Standard (You can read the whole article here.) :

"Pressed on Tuesday afternoon about the accuracy of the allegations on Fox's Big Story with John Gibson, Richard Holbrooke, a senior adviser to the Kerry campaign, said: 'You don't know the truth and I don't know the truth.' He later underscored this point: 'I don't know the truth.' "

"That minor issue hasn't kept the Kerry campaign from creating a television ad based on what may well be untruthful claims. ... Shouldn't he at least make sure that such a charge is true?"

But in the Democrat playbook there's no entry for truth. The party's longtime strategy is to repeat a lie until people believe it. Thanks to their media collaborators, and President Bush's wimpy refusal to denounce the Times and "60 Minutes" and Kerry and John Edwards, the stunt could succeed.

At least a few voices are speaking out. "Kerry gins up his attack machine based on a flawed New York Times story," the Republican National Committee noted Tuesday.

Richard Lessner, executive director of American Conservative Union, blasted the story "a cheap, baseless and partisan hit-job on President Bush" and pointed out that "neither the Times nor CBS has much interest in reporting the facts."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That my friends sums up the Democratic Party: Lie, lie, lie, and then lie some more! Eventually, people begin to believe it.

Guess who else used these kinds of techniques? Who else had his people so blinded, they thought that his only purpose was for the good of the people? Who else, while murdering hundreds of thousands behind their backs, smiled and told his people that their war was justified?

I don't think I have to say his name. He's gone down in history as one of the most horrendous mass murderers of the 20th century. The Democratic Party has already accused President Bush of being like him.

Well guess what, like all of their lies during this Presidential Race, they are pointing the finger and accusing others of doing what, in fact, they themselves have been doing all along!

An incident from years ago comes to mind:

My son, then about 7 years old, was playing with a neighbor outside on our driveway. I heard laughing and giggling. They seemed to be quite happy.

Suddenly, I heard the neighbor boy yell "He hit me!" and start crying.

Of course, I went out and started to reprimand my son. The neighbor boy went home and told his mom. I took my son into the house and asked him what happened. My son does not lie. He told me it was him who was hit, and he showed me a welt on his back!

The reason I'm saying this is obvious. The Democratic Party is doing the same thing. They're yelling first so it appears that they are the injured party, and the Conservatives are the Big Bad Wolf. Unless you've experienced a situation like this personally, you may not immediately recognize it for what it is. Manipulation and lies to cover up what they are really doing.

Manipulating the public and conspiring with the media to "win" back the White House. The ends justify the means.

Mr. Kerry, it won't work. America is a lot smarter than it was back in the 70's. We've come a long way baby!!

The LIES Continue!

Here's the New York Times reporting that a huge cache of explosives vanished from a site in Iraq. Do you know this is 19-month-old news, folks?

The New York Times does it again! Another lie! Journalistic Malpractice at the very least!

This weapons cache went missing before our military even went to Iraq in 2003!

But hold on! That's not the only proof that the Liberal News Media is attempting to upset this election!

This is what John Kerry had to say back in the October 8th Debate. Could he have been psychic?

"The president did not do what was necessary. Didn't bring in enough nation. Didn't deliver the help. Didn't close off the borders. Didn't even guard the ammo dumps. And now our kids are being killed with ammos right out of that dump."

John Kerry knows about this even as he's on the Campaign trail blasting President Bush for his lack of responsibility!

"The White House played down the significance of the missing weapons, but Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry accused President Bush of ``incredible incompetence'' and his campaign said the administration ``must answer for what may be the most grave and catastrophic mistake in a tragic series of blunders in Iraq.''"

John Kerry Knows The Weapons Were Missing in 2003, Before We Entered Iraq! But he continues to lie!

This is collusion! And worse yet, it's an out-and-out lie with the intent to affect the presidency!

This is at least the SECOND time that the New York Times and others have been caught in an out and out lie! Remember Rather-Gate (October 8th in the Archives). That lie has been dropped from the media. Where is the big investigation that was being conducted by the Media? That lie included the use of ILLEGAL GOVERNMENT FORGERIES!

My God! If you people who are thinking of voting for John Kerry cannot see through all the lies and illegal maneauvering the Democratic Party and their Media cohorts are weaving, then you're not only blind, you may really be as stupid (I hate that word!) as the Democratic Party claims you are!

What comes to mind is the movie "American President" with Michael Douglas. It came out in the early '90s. Near the end of the movie, Michael J. Fox made the statement something similar to this 'People want leadership, and when they can't find it, they'll drink the sand.' And Michael Douglas answered with this very profound and disturbing statement: "The people don't drink the sand because they lack leadership, they drink the sand because they don't know the difference."

WOW. Those who are voting for John Kerry and the Democratic Party, either don't know the difference between a truth and a lie, or simply don't want to know. It's all about "what's in it for me" "what do I get for nothing".

But, I don't think the people (democrats) of this country are that stupid. So please wake up. Acting like a victim is only making you one!

Science's Only Cure for "The Mondays"

Rush Quotes!

"Let's remember Bill Clinton endorsed Gray Davis, and a lot of other guys who've gone down in flames."

"All right, folks, just calm down out there. So we got a Rasmussen poll here and it shows Kerry up. On the count of three I want you to go, 'Oh, no!' and be done with it. Just get the panic out of your system. One, two, three: 'Oh, no, it's over!' All right, that's it."

"The last thing I want is some little New Age, 60s liberal, baby boomer to come along and tell me that my country needs to be respected by people that hate our guts and people that are trying to weaken us like Jacques Chirac and this clown in Germany."

"The New York Times is packaging an old story that has 19-month-old information in it into a brand-new story. It's shameless."

"The left so concerned about separation of church and state and they're so concerned about Bush and his relationship with God, and yet Kerry is going everywhere he can wherever there's a black church to try to campaign."

"Kerry out-and-out lied in the debate on October the 8th in St. Louis in which he said that he had gone to New York and talked to all of the Security Council members prior to his October 2002 vote. He did not."

"Bush is leading in Hawaii according to the latest state poll. This would be like Ronald Reagan leading in Moscow in 1982. The Democrats out there are trying to make this sound like it's no big deal, but this has never happened."

"You get a conservative publication joking about assassinating any Democrat or asking for it, and you wait to see the presses stop. You wait to see the whole of the mainstream press devote itself to the outrage that that is."

"This middle-class tax cut for America, folks, is just flat out poppycock. Every American paying taxes in this country has received a tax cut twice during the last 3-1/2, almost four years under George W. Bush."

"I'm not one of these people who wants to go out and make sure everybody likes me, because I know it's not possible. It's not possible for anybody to make everybody like them."

Media Bigs Spend Big for Kerry

More from NewsMax.com...

Yes, Walter Cronkite and the New York Times have admitted their leftist bias, and CBS's Dan Rather and ABC's Mark Halperin and Peter Jennings are among the latest to reveal more about theirs, yet many in the establishment media still try to deny reality.

But the next time someone claims most media don't have a liberal bent, cite this report.

Democrats get the overwhelming share of donations from news and entertainment media tycoons, Broadcasting & Cable reports.

Take, for example, Cox Enterprises (the media giant which owns numerous outlets including the Atlanta Journal Constitution) and its director, Ann Cox Chambers who claimed to the magazine: "President Bush creates chaos in whatever theater he turns his attention to. I think four more years would be catastrophic for any of our companies, as well as every other company."

A vice chairman of John Kerry's campaign, she has raised more than $100,000 for him and has funded his Bush-hating 527 groups.

3. Behind Joe Biden's 'Brain Dead' Insult

When disgraced Sen. Joe Biden called President Bush "brain dead" this past week, we yawned and then wondered which thug in John Kerry's presidential campaign he cribbed the attack from.

Recall that Biden was forced to drop his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 because he had plagiarized from British pol Neil Kinnock.

And who blew the whistle on Biden's scandal back then? Michael Dukakis' handler John Sasso.

Sasso had to quit Dukakis' campaign because he backstabbed Biden. But whom does he work for now? John Kerry.

Considering Kerry's link to Sasso, you have to wonder why Biden is stooping to such sleazy new lows to "help." Or does he hope his nastiness will backfire and hurt his own party's nominee for his own personal revenge?

4. What the Left Thinks of Pro-Bush GIs

Some Democrats were furious about the National Annenberg Election Survey's finding that GIs and their families trust President Bush over Sen. John Kerry by 3 to 1.

A regular NewsMax reader and letter writer who often shares with us the unique perspective of the Left Coast university town of Berkeley, weighed in:

"It is reported the Military personnel trust and prefer Bush to Kerry. In that case, it would be wiser to get rid of the stupid, over-inflated army than have 4 more Bush years. I suppose the average soldier is rather stupid and couldn't get a job elsewhere. They probably think they will go straight to Heaven if they die for Bush, U.S., Jesus and Big Daddy of Sky Ranch."

Apparently John Edwards was right: There are two Americas.

Campaign Buzz: Early Results, Lieberman's Code

The following newsletter is from NewsMax.com. Conservatives, don't be disheartened! Every poll across the country has President Bush up by significant numbers, so hang in there, don't allow ANYTHING to knock you off course this election. Believe me, the Dems will throw everything at you they can think of. And, they'll all be for the most part lies or exaggerations of truth.

Before you read the newsletter, I also heard that Kerry has now come up with a "witness" who claims that when he went to France after his tour in Vietnam he didn't really go to any meetings with known commuist leaders.  Guess who the witness is? You guessed it! He's French. Sounds like the French Connection to me! It only took the Kerry campaign 2 months to find someone to "buy off" after the truth about his shinannigans became public knowledge!

Oh, and another little tid bit - there are a few constituancies around the country that have a 100% voting registration! Have you ever heard of 100% of any community being registered for anything, let alone the Presidential election?

Me thinks something is rotten in Denmark! Read on....

1. Campaign Buzz: Early Results, Lieberman's Code

NewsMax's intelligence network hears:

•  Early results. Polling of early convenience voting in states like Florida are not going well for President Bush. Republicans expected this, with the enormous resources pumped into the voter efforts of Democrats.

•  Democratic vote buying. We have already reported on the Ohio Democratic operative that was allegedly offering free crack cocaine to new voters. We hear that in key swing states, the Democrats are offering early voters lulus such as free breakfast or lunch if they get on their bus and go vote.

John Fund, who has authored the important book, "Stealing Elections," reports he has heard of Democrats offering money to people who register new voters. These operatives receive a fee - half of the fee is paid when the new voter registers and the other half when they vote. Fund says that's tantamount to illegally buying votes. [Get John Fund's book Go Here Now.]

•  Kerry's anti-war record. A top political strategist in New York complained to NewsMax that the Bush campaign never raised the issue of Kerry's anti-war activities and his secret meetings with the Viet Cong. "If Jewish voters heard Kerry was not just a protester, but was actually having meetings, many would stay at home," the strategist said.

Despite the fact the Swift Boat Vets' initial ads caused Kerry's ratings to sink, and that Kerry's campaign clearly fears the documentary "Stolen Honor" being shown, the Bush campaign has made no effort to help press that message home to voters. [Get your copy of 'Stolen Honor' Go Here Now]

•  Joe Lieberman's secret code. NewsMax was one of the few media outlets to report that Democratic Senator Joe Lieberman took the unusual step of praising President Bush while chiding John Kerry during a recent campaign stop in south Florida.

Remarkably, Lieberman praised Bush strongly for his support of Israel. "We are dealing with a president who's had a record of strong, consistent support for Israel. You can't say otherwise," Lieberman said. He then chided Kerry. "And I think John Kerry, to reassure people, has to himself be explicit" in his support of Israel rather than having surrogates deliver the message.

So what did all of this mean? Prominent New York Reform Rabbi Morton H. Pomerantz said, "Joe Lieberman is speaking in code. Any Jew hearing that knows exactly what he is saying: 'Vote for Bush, Kerry is a bad guy.'"

Stolen Rights!

Well, true to form, the Democratic Party has decided that they do NOT want the American people to know the truth about John Kerry and his affiliation with communist countries and people during and after the Vietnam era.

Kerry is suing Sinclair. Is this not called suppression?

I'm even more convinced than ever that the Democratic Party will stop at nothing -- NOTHING -- to win this election. I can feel it in my gutt that they'll be using many illegal tactics, then turn around and point a finger at the Republican Party, as they do every time they want to hide something. Check it out. The next time they blame the Conservatives for something, do a little investigation of your own. You'll be surprised what turns up.

For the past 8 months plus, the Kerry / Edwards Campaign has done nothing but attempt to suppress Kerry's past, yet he himself made it an issue during the Democratic Convention.

If you're a democrat, please rethink your position this election. I am convinced these men will do nothing but harm to this country.

The makers of Stolen Honor have done their best to inform us. But, once again, the power and might of the Democratic Party is manipulating our rights as citizens. And, it goes much deeper than that...

I'm really disappointed. Not because I wanted to see this movie per se, but because the Vietnam Veterans have a right to have their voices heard.

But, just like in the 70's, John Kerry has once again stabbed them in the back. I'm so sorry guys. I wish there were something I could do.

Unfit For Command - John Kerry, War Hero? Guess again.

Following is a summary of John O'Neill's Unfit For Command. Having not yet read the book myself, I must say that after hours and days of research into its' controversial content, I'm inclined to believe that what the book (and many ex- highly-decorated Vietnam Veterans) has to say is based on truth.

Get the book, read it, and decide for yourself. Also, a film, Stolen Honor, is supposed to be airing this week in different areas throughout the country. Check your local listings and tune in. I'm going to watch it tonight.

Summary by BooksAMillion: John O’Neill was the naval officer who took over John Kerry’s swift boat in the muddy waters of Vietnam. What he learned convinced him—and convinced the majority of veterans who served directly with Kerry—that John Kerry was and is unfit for command at the lowliest rank in the Navy, let alone as commander in chief of the United States.

In Unfit For Command, John O’Neill and his coauthor Dr. Jerome Corsi (an expert on the anti-Vietnam War movement) have interviewed dozens of veterans who served with Kerry and have meticulously documented a shameful record of betrayal and deception on the part of John Kerry.

In Unfit for Command you’ll learn:

  • How two of John Kerry’s three Purple Heart decorations resulted from self-inflicted wounds, not suffered under enemy fire
  • Why John Kerry’s third Purple Heart “fanny wound” was the highlight of his much touted “no man left behind” Bronze Star.
  • How John Kerry turned the tragic death of a father and small child in a Vietnamese fishing boat into an act of “heroism” by filing a false report on the incident.
  • How John Kerry entered an abandoned Vietnamese village and slaughtered the domestic animals owned by the civilians and burned down their homes with his Zippo lighter.
  • How John Kerry’s reckless behavior convinced his colleagues that he had to go—becoming the only swift boat veteran to serve only four-months in Vietnam.
  • How as a leader of Vietnam Veterans Against the War, John Kerry attended a meeting where plans were discussed to assassinate prominent United States Senators who supported the war.
  • How Kerry met secretly with communist delegates at the Paris Peace Conference during the Vietnam War, and why some believe he violated the Uniform Code of Military Justice and federal law.
  • Based on detailed interviews with Swift Boat veterans who served in Vietnam with John Kerry and on recently released FBI surveillance reports of John Kerry’s anti-war activities, Unfit for Command is a shocking indictment of a politician who slandered his fellow veterans, danced on the edge of treason, and has shamelessly exaggerated his own war service for political ends. End Summary
